Decent older AGP card, runs most games, GETS HOT!
The quick version: If you have an older PC which only supports AGP graphics, and you need the most from it, this isn't a bad choice, for under £30 it will play most recent games on low or medium, and older games like Half Life 2 will run pretty much maxed. But however, you may need to add additional fans and/or heatsinks, because my card had a faulty fan and got up to about 100 degrees (artifacts, damage and crashing has happened once it gets past 80) However, I've replaced the fan and now for the most part it stays cool. I bought it because I'm poor and can't afford a new rig, it has served me well, replacing the GeForce FX5200 128mb which is quite frankly a failure of a GPU. I was not expecting a massive improvement over this but was very impressed it plays Lord Of The Rings Online maxed out which is beautiful, and yes it plays Crysis (medium/high with no Anti Alias is still very pretty) This is a pretty ancient card, and so only supports DX9 (newest version is DX11 now), however most games still work on DX9, and there will always be plenty of sweet older games to run on it, so there is still value in it. I had a problem with my card, (it was bought second hand with no guarantee) the fan was completely stiff and not turning properly, it stopped soon after, however I replaced the fan for next to nothing and although the screws didn't match I got some padded double sided tape from poundland :D and it has held for about a week now, is performing brilliantly. I added 4 (YES 4) more fans, one 120mm intake fan next to it, one 80mm intake fan at front of case, one mini fan for the heatsink and one above the card blowing the air towards the exhaust

For the price paid, you couldn't ask for more!
Brilliant screen, absolutely love the new found clarity that the DVI connection brings, and I found 19" is the sweet spot between size, desk space and cost. I have this set up with a smaller second screen, both connected to my PC for games, movies, recording and uni work. Very happy bunny with the quality and it has really made a difference to both work and play. There's a couple of things I don't like so much which I ought to mention. Firstly, the stand isn't the best ever, it does tilt but is very stiff (better than too loose of course) at first it felt like I was breaking it when I tried to tilt, and I'm still a little wary to overuse it. I also found the stand a little big, and sort of unusual looking but it is very sturdy. I also haven't quite perfected the colour balance, I fiddled for a while and improved it from how it was, but at the moment white seems very slightly red tinted, (only noticed when comparing to my other screen). I'm sure this can be corrected with further calibration, but for me it's not a major problem and I'm not bothered if I can't fix it. Features: DVI (superior) and VGA connection 19" Widescreen 1440 x 900 native resolution (this is what you want to set it to for best quality) Stand tilts but is a little stiff Also wall mountable Pretty blue LED when you turn it on! makes a difference of course :) Price paid was £48 including postage, used but in good as new condition.
