In case you missed it, the first time...
For those of you that have bought from me, sold to me or talked to me before, you know that I love music. I listen to a little bit of everything, but there are a handful of artists and groups, that are ahead of the pack. When talking about Rock Music, Def Leppard is the absolute top of the list. And when talking about DL, Slang is my favorite album, along with the early rocker, High N' Dry. For the record, I am not knocking Pyro or Hysteria, because those albums are EPIC. Now I have given this album 5 Stars, but honestly, I would have given the original version the highest rating, without hesitation. Although this album does not have the traditional DL sound, the pairing of the stripped-down/organic music and some of the band's best songwriting ever, more than make up for it. As good as it is, it was unfortunately the wrong album released by the wrong band at the wrong time. One thing that you will not get from this CD set are the Pop/Rock Radio singles that are staple of a Def Leppard album. What you will get in their place, are songs with much more depth, that truly reward the listener, with every additional playback. There is no filler in the original 11 Tracks from 1996. As an added bonus, Disc 1 is rounded out with five B-Sides, which are the icing on the cake. These are all solid tracks, which took me much time and some of my hard-earned money to obtain. Lucky for you, there is a shortcut to getting them, now. Disc 2 is filled with rough mixes and alternate versions, of the Slang tracks. I am sure that there are a few diamonds in the rough here, but as I type this, there is nothing that truly excites me. I highly recommend this album, to anyone who appreciates good music. Fox has made a huge mistake
A superb ending for a superb show. I am another fan that is truly sad to see this show gone, but it went out with a bang. The individual shows are funny by themselves, but watch the series from the start and the jokes start coming at you at full speed. If you are like me, and many others, who thinks that there is nothing good on television, watch this show and you will know that there is still hope. Save Our Bluths
