panasonic viera th-42pe30 42 in edtv-ready plasma tv
as model discontinued relatively cheap second hand to buy at around 300 pounds with freeview reciever built in so no seperate set top box is required. The 42" screen size is more than enough to impress the neighbours with and most of the front panel is black so it looks more up to date than its 5+ years. it is not hd however its a happy medium between a standard tv and an hd tv as its more pixels than standard but less pixels than hd . to buy when new would have cost around 3000 pounds so id say well worth a punt 2nd hand
