The Poorman's BBM machine
Well, i bought the item for 4 pounds, so it is definitely, value for money since i installed the Pearl Precision Zen theme, it the UI is very nice looking and modern, but the problem is, lots of new software requires OS 4.6 and the maximum a Pearl 8120 can do is 4.5 but if you search around for older versions it's no problem, like BBM 5 works great and so does WhatsApp (older version needed), the trackball easily breaks and you should clean it frequently to stop it from failing quickly, compared to the newer blackberry's is is definitely a legacy device and only buy it if you are going to use it for BBM, because for other things, it is quite lacking

It bares a lot of features, WiFi being the one that stands this version out, but i was quite disappointed when i recorded a video on it, the camera may be okay, but the recording quality is very bad, it takes video at a mere 176x244, which is BAD.
Since this device was made in 2008, the screen is not the best of screens, but for the size it's not bad, it packs a 240x260 display and this may be small, but for some Java games, it's perfect.
The SureType keyboard is one of it's main stand out features, the keyboard is a modified QWERTY layout which is really nice and you can get used to it very easily. If there are some slang words that you would like to add, then you can easily add some words in the Custom Dictionary.
I bought this product because i wanted the CHEAPEST blackberry with WiFi and BBM, so I did intense research, and the Pearl 8120 was the cheapest/oldest device with WiFi and BBM, If you unlock your device, then you should get GiffGaff, as if you pay an extra 3 pounds they provide all the Blackberry Services, like BIS, BES and BBM
