Good but hard to find (now) 2 GB ram modules as I only had two ram slots on the motherboard I purchased so this was the perfect fit for what I needed.

Good if you want all the featues is has to offer in one system.
Well i am a PC man and have been resisting getting another gaming platform of any kind but decided to go for a PS3 in the end because it can do so much more than just playing games. I personally got this so i can catch up on TV programs like the BBC iplayer very impressed with the HD version but you will need a very fast internet connection for this. As for the PS3 itself the unit is noisy especially when watching Blu-ray films but you can live with it. The unit runs quite hot which is not good for any electrical item, the built in Wifi works really well. I worked most things out for myself being a bit tech but there is an online manual. You will need to have the latest firmware to use the iplayer 3.70 which is easy to download. You will also need a user name and password to sign on the the PS3 network have used the internet which is OK but tiresome with the game controller, think it would be better to buy a bluetooth keyboard with built in tracker ball mouse to make things easier which i think i might invest in one. All in all it will not replace my PCs but it is so nice to sit in a comfy chair and watch catch up TV rather than watching it on a laptop etc. If you are a member of Lovefilms.com which i am you can stream films via the internet which is another reason i purchased the PS3 once you have down loaded the software and signed on easy to navigate and away you go, the picture and sound quality were a bit poor sound was a bit choppy the picture quaintly was some where between TV and Freeview but watch able. The PS3 is connected via the HDMI cable to my 32" HD TV so watching Blu-ray films is excellent really like the feature of resume when you have stopped watching a blu-ray film and you want to watch it from where you left off, which i could not do with my Sony Blu-ray player.
