Everything worked out, after some unexpected repairs and adjustments to the PLL board, a key debouncing upgrade, and freeing up frozen front controls. It would have been nice if the seller had disclosed the fact that this radio was owned by a heavy smoker. It was so saturated it was sticky to handle. After rigorous and meticulous cleaning, it still smells like cigarettes. But, anyway, like I say, it mostly worked out fine; I just needed to "off-gas" a little.
