Despite his many doubts about traditional church teaching, his work is truly Christian in its generosity of spirit., Reiss, canon emeritus of Westminster Abbey, challenges readers with this very readable study of how Christianity can be made relevant in a scientific world. He acknowledges that religion is being questioned by a new generation of thinkers, both young and old. As critical thinkers reject the supernatural elements of Christianity- the virgin birth, the resurrection of Jesus, etc.-they are exiting the churches in large numbers. Excellent source for identifying wildflowers in Texas. Especially like the fact that the flowers are categorized by color for easy finding and identifying. Don't know much about wildflowers but this book should go along way to helping become familiar with wildflowers here in Texas.
