One of the great power pop bands to emerge from England in the late 1970s was the Chords, who fused the raucous energy of punk with the mod stylings of the Who and the Kinks. The Chords had a short life span, and only released one studio album (SO FAR AWAY), and a handful of singles. The cream of that output is collected here, with gleaming cuts such as “Now It’s Gone” and “Maybe Tomorrow” standing out. THE MOD SINGLES COLLECTION also includes a number of B-sides and previously unissued tracks, making it essential for collectors.
