We see through the eyes of schoolboys, a countryside transformed as the nation prepares for the D-day landings and have their perspective on the austere post-war years, the rebellious Sixties and the early days of co-education. Few other schools have produced such interesting and varied alumni-leading artists, film directors, distinguished professors, senior judges, top sportsmen and the only British scientist to have won two Nobel Prizes.
