Originally released on PlayStation, Hoshigami comes to DS as a revamped version of 1998's obscure strategy role-playing game with new missions, music, character art, and more. Warring kingdoms Valaim and Nightweld are tearing apart the floating realm of Mardias. As a rugged warrior named Fazz, you must recruit six other mercenaries to help end Valaim's overtly hostile advances. Yet Fazz and his party will soon discover a dark secret regarding the fate of Mardias, one that threatens to completely destroy their homeland...
Hoshigami Remix features turn-based battles, grid-based terrain, and an isometric perspective similar to Final Fantasy Tactics and Ogre Battle, albeit with an optional stylus-driven interface for movement on the battlefield and for selecting menu commands. An estimated 50 hours worth of content is included, with multiple endings, three difficulty settings, and branching paths adding replay value to the game. Wireless support is also included for trading rare and powerful items with friends. Hoshigami Remix is publisher Aksys Games' (Eagle Eye Golf) first DS title.
