Like Battle Grand Prix, Cyber Spin sports a retro overhead view. However, unlike BGP, it doesn't have many realistic features, it lacks flashing arrows alerting players to upcoming turns, and, on a more positive note, it's not hampered by a limiting split screen viewpoint. The game is easy to learn and controls are simple (accelerator, brake and turbo is all there is), but quick reflexes are required for unexpected twists and turns. Adding to the challenge is that players must qualify before racing other cars. The graphics are simplistic and the controls are a little stiff, but the game is marginally enjoyable for those looking for uncomplicated, old-school fun.
