This Vintage Modified 5-watt guitar amp offers a bold, crisp sound with dependable tube amp construction. Whether you’re practicing in your bedroom or jamming at the recording studio, this unit provides crystal clear warm tones. Add effects for texture with just a touch of the dials on the face of the amp. This versatile amp provides enough power so you can still crank it out.Fender introduced the Vibro Champ XD in 2007 as part of its "Vintage Modified" series. It's modeled after the original Vibro Champ from the company's Blackface era. The original Vibro Champ in itself was an upgrade from Fender's Champ series. The circuitry in this unit is a complementary combination of tubes and a digital signal processor (DSP). The DSP performs as a preamp that models the sounds and voicing from 16 different amps. This signal is then delivered to a single-end, class A tube circuit. This circuit features a 6V6 output tube and a 12AX7 driver.No matter which genre of music you play, the Fender Champ XD lets you deliver a variety of tones. From professional performances to distorted garage band setups, this amplifier is designed for versatility and quality sound. You may also use it to get an acoustic guitar tone out of your electric guitars.At 5 watts, this compact amp has plenty of power, and the 6V6 tube amplifies your playing without sacrificing quality. Input power is 120 volts and frequency is 60 Hz. The unit uses a 250V F3A L fuse, which comes already installed in the device. The amp has 4 Ohms of impedance. The single-input, single channel unit also features external speaker capability and line output. That means you can link it to an external speaker cabinet and connect it directly to recording equipment.You find seven knobs on the front of the unit in addition to the input and power light. These knobs help you to control Gain, Volume, Voice, Treble, Bass, F/X Level, and F/X Select. The Fender Champ uses DPS effects and amp voicing. This provides for a variety of sounds from jazz to heavy metal to acoustic folk to classic rock to blues. Use "voice" control to add and adjust reverb, delay, chorus, tremolo, and Vibratone. Collectively, these controls lend a cool, contemporary tone to each note you play. And that's all without the need for additional Vox pedals, accessories, and gear. This Fender also provides plenty of overdrive and distortion.This single-speaker combo amp has an 8-inch speaker and a 14-inch-high cabinet. It has a depth of 8.7 inches. Fender Vibro Champs are practice and recording amps inspired by the originals from the 1960s and 1970s. The units come with their own power cable and full instructions for use. This item is conveniently lightweight, weighing only 23 pounds. As with all portable Fender amps, this one has the handy strap at the top for easy transport.
