Drugs, sex, and binge-drinking fight for space in this unsparing British series about teenagers. Consider it an edgier O.C., or (depending on one's perspective) a considerably more lighthearted draft of KIDS. The comic drama centers on charismatic leader-of-the-pack Tony (Nicholas Hoult, ABOUT A BOY), his girlfriend, Michelle (April Pearson), and the awkward youths pulled into their orbit, including timid virgin Sid (Mike Bailey), anorexic gamine Callie (Hannah Murray), and quasi-Muslim Anwar (Dev Patel). This second volume picks up after Tony's accident--an event that has left him a shell of his old arrogant self--while the rest of the crew continue their romantic larks and parental conflicts.
