Pirates: Dead Man's Chest mildly entertaining
Johnny Depp does a great job as Captain Jack, but he can't fix poor storytelling. The problem with the movie is that the tension is gone--you know that they're not going to kill Jack, nor Elizabeth or what's-his-name (her beau), because you know there's going to be another Pirates movie with them in it. So you know the whole time that things are going to work out, no matter how "scary" it gets or how impossible the situation seems. All of that said, it's still a movie that you want to watch all the way through, so it is mildly entertaining. And it still makes me want to watch the next Pirates movie!
