Crushes games and apps
Pros:
Very fast, inexpensive and affordable, runs cool
Cons:
The fan is a little loud when playing games, has idle usage issues
Overall:
Great product, performs almost as well as an FX-8350, and is inexpensive. It is a bit older and power hungry, but if you don't mind that it's a PHENOMenal product.

Amazing 120hz upgrade for Acer Helios 300 laptop
7 persone su 7 l'hanno trovata utile The Acer Predator Helios 300 ships with a 60hz IPS display which is good for photo viewing but not as good and responsive for gaming. This panel will arrive with fantastic packaging and a protective peel on the screen and dropped right into my 15 inch Helios. The color is a little oversaturated out of the box and viewing angles are less IPS and more TN but it's nothing most people would notice. Good value and if you wanted to upgrade your Helios you've come to the right place.

Phenomenal little piece of hardware
I bought this intending it to be a cheap school driver and sometimes a streaming notebook, and let me tell you that it didn't let me down in any of the categories I used it in. This laptop is fast. It boots in seconds, it has an SSD, browsing webpages is lightning fast and butter smooth. Plays HD video without a hitch, battery life lasts for a day and a half at school, and the keyboard. I love the keyboard, it is very comfortable and quick, it feels right. The space bar has a little bit of a squeak when you hit it hard when your typing fast, but not a problem. The screen is OK, it's a lot better than I thought for a laptop I payed $120 for, but the color accuracy and viewing angles are about what you'd expect.
The size of this laptop in my opinion is it's best feature. Not often do I wish it were a little bigger, as just turning up the zoom in your browser fixes it. At school I do find myself leaning forward more often than a regular laptop. HDMI port is fantastic. Doesn't do games you can get emulators real easy and those work great. Camera is about what you'd expect as well. Lightweight! You have to open this sucker with two hands it's so light. Rubber feet on bottom grip amazingly and I have to tilt the unit if I'm sliding it. Trackpad is smooth and accurate. It feels right. Maybe the factory sensitivity is a little high, but nothing tweaking can't fix.
My biggest complaint is that the screen doesn't get dark enough, don't get me wring, it gets dark, but if your in a dark room and still don't want people to see what your doing it's a little disappointing. Hardly a complaint though. Processor keeps up good and produces zero heat. Even after hours of use no heat is to be felt easily. No moving parts in this unit, no fans, or HDD's. I wouldn't call this rugged but it doesn't feel fragile. It's a little flimsy. Hinge is great, and I love the little back, forward, and refresh buttons in the keyboard where the F1-F4 keys would go. This trackpad is so good I will compare it to the Macbook Pro's in terms of how smooth it is. You can either tap lightly, or click the trackpad. The trackpad click is sort of loud. I had a friend test it and I couldn't hear it sitting a few seats away from him, but as the user you might get worried other people can hear it, although they can not. USB 3.0 and a 2.0 port! Headphones jack in good place. Card reader! I would complain about the arrow keys but I don't think you'll get Stepmania on here.
Overall solid product. I got it a few days before Christmas, and brought it to my families Christmas party. I showed it to three of my cousins and they all bought it that day. What can I say, a good design goes a long way. Just note that it can't run Crysis.
