outdated, although interesting, book
I do not have much to comment except of the fact the book was written in 1997 and since then, and i should say that I am not a professional but a parent of a child with ADHD a lot of things, especially in this field changed.
In my humble opinion the book is outdated by now and although interesting to read I believe that there are more up to date books available at the market

Not a horror, however, worthy to see
I have decided to write a short review for this film even though it takes my precious time. I am doing it mainly because I would like to recommend it to everybody. I am not going to tell the story here what I would like to write is the impression with makes you to see it. I really do have to say, it is worthy.
Having said that I am not sure yet whether it is because I did not expect much of it or because it was so exceptional. Due to this I have rated it as good only.
I bought it recently by chance knowing only it is a thriller and it is by the same director as Sixth sense and Unbreakable, however, compared specially to the second mentioned film, Village is much much better.
I am not going to stress particular actors even though Bryce Dallas Howard as Ivy Walker was excellent. What I would like to point out is the overall impression of what the actors made. It is brilliantly acted I would say by all of them, what makes it really catchy.
Through this I can not omit to mention the director M. Night Shyamalan. I guess in this time he did not disappointed me and I can say he did excellent job (probably not only as a director but as a writer too). Eventually, the actors without good director would not manage to perform what they have done.
I am leaving to discover the story to you just with one trifle. At some point what I do think the director intended you probably get the idea what will come next.
Well, if you are looking for a way to spend an evening with friends or a partner (who likes thrillers) this is definitely the good option.

Good move picture to see
6 persone su 8 l'hanno trovata utile I have always wanted to watch this film since it was released. Partly because of the director is Oliver Stone, partly because of the topic. Then I came across of Troja what really disappointed me. Due to this fact, I was affraid of seing The Alexander, because it is almoust from the same era. I was affraid The Alexander would be just another American historical film as Troja was. However, it was not. Of course better directed, good camera, well played by all actors but mainly Colin Farrell. You really get the historical fact, so it is educative as well. I was just a little bit confused by the names sometimes and who was who, but it could easely be caused by the fact I am not a English native speaker. I mean the names were Greek but I still have troubles to keep the dialogs sometimes so the names were just something else extra.
Anyway, definitely higly recommended. It worth the money and the time to watch it.
