Nel 1958 Alan lavorò come montatore di aerei a Luton, nel tempo libero chiamò fabbriche che vendevano strumenti e attrezzature da una carriola. Inizialmente progredì verso una bancarella del mercato prima di aprire il suo primo negozio che forniva principalmente strumenti e attrezzature in eccedenza governativa. Nel 1962 Alan si trasferì a Darlington trovando locali a Clifton Road. L'azienda è ora passata alla seconda generazione di Wadkins. Qui ad Alan Wadkins LTD ToolStore non siamo solo un magazzino, la nostra officina completamente attrezzata supporta il lavoro di garanzia e assistenza per elettroutensili Makita e Metabo e macchinari elettrici, offrendoti una maggiore tranquillità molto tempo dopo l'acquisto

Great bit of kit, very clever design and incredibly well made. Alan Wadkins Ltd Toolstore is an excellent seller. The Bora Speedhorse was at a great price when others were out of stock. Only downside was the delivery company left the large package on my front door step when no one was in. They could have easily left it with my neighbour who was in. A lazy courier me thinks.
