The item was packaged very well. As far as the value is concerned, I probably did spend more than the item is worth, but since this is the exact music box I inherited from my grandfather that was lost in a house fire a few years ago, I could not be happier with this purchase.

Some bubble wrap around the bookends themselves might have been good; some pieces broke off in shipping, but I found all of them in the packaging and will attempt to glue them.
