    Received this as a Christmas gift. All I can say is "Oh Boy!!" This is one beautiful locomotive! The package arrived two days after Christmas, but that is on the post office. The engine arrived in the original Lionel shipping carton. The packing is thick styrene bead and shock absorbent. This engine is better than the catalog description. The picture in the Lionel catalog does not do it justice. The russia iron blue is much better in person. This Legacy engine is quite the value!

    Great seller. Item was exactly as described, in brand new condition. The shipping was very quick, especially for Christmas time, it arrived early, and it was secure. The only complaint would be that it's overpriced.

    The item arrived within the projected arrival window and was unopened (as listed). This listing let me save money compared to Amazon's price for the same product, and it really saved the day getting my child's advent calendar so quickly during a holiday week!     Arrived quickly good price in new condition. Box a little beat up but that’s shipping not the product. Maybe a little better packaging for shipment would help.

    Original auction text said "Free shipping" but when it arrived, it had an eBay generated price tag showing $3.79. I was a bit confused so I contacted the seller who explained that he basically charged $3.79 +$5.00 for shipping. So basically it didn't include free shipping. I realize sellers hope to make a profit, so in that case they should remove the eBay price tag before shipping items so as not to confuse their customers. That price tag wasn't shown in original pics.
