Benvenuto nel mio negozio eBay.
Mi occupo di antiquariato da oltre 30 anni, il mio particolare interesse sono libri, mappe, stampe e opere d'arte. Il mio particolare interesse è per la Scozia, e nel 2022 Whittles ha pubblicato il mio libro "The Immeasurable Wilds" che si concentra sull'estremo nord - Sutherland e Ross-shire in particolare. Ero interessato a chi ci andava e come ci arrivavano quando l'accesso era così difficile, anche nel XIX secolo, e la maggior parte delle illustrazioni provengono dalla mia collezione.
Come musicista professionista in una vita precedente, ho anche un debole per le copertine musicali illustrate vittoriane, che mostrano non solo opere d'arte energiche, ma anche meravigliose prime stampe a colori. Infine, devo menzionare il mio interesse per le caricature antiche, che mi sembrano un modo divertente di esplorare la storia.

    Very well packed. Very beautiful book. The only bad experience was the huge amount of import-tax I had to pay by receiving the package: more than 30 euro's! These import taxes are really devastating for international buying and selling things oversea. I am thinking stopping buying things outside the European Union, because it's really getting too expensive in this way... But the seller can't do a thing about this problem (maybe only not telling the true value), so I don't blame him of course.

    Thank you for your feedback, which is very fair. I am so sorry you have to pay so much import duty. The problem for ebay, and sellers, is that the duty varies from country to country, and so cannot be included in the listing. I am glad you are pleased with the book, anyway. Alastair
