I've worked in the home audio field for well over four decades. Both in sales and as a technician. I currently work for a shop that specializes in mid century vintage audio. My own personal gear ranges wildy from a Thorens TD 124 to a fairly modern VPI Aries. All of this stuff is just a means to get to the music. Sure, it's fun to mess with, but the most enjoyment comes from relaxing and listening to a favorite album. I once worked for a fairly snobby high end store, and was soured on hifi for a time. The fact is, if you love your Bose 901s, or whatever piece of gear you enjoy, just ignore the trolls and naysayers!

I'm especially a fan of tube audio. I've sold literally hundreds of tubes over the past few years. These days they just seem to find me. I also enjoy sprucing up vintage amps and finding them a new home.
