Das Distagon von Carl Zeiss ist ein lichtstarkes Superweitwinkelobjektiv mit kurzer Brennweite und harmonischem Bokeh. Die T-Version zeichnet sich durch eine Anti-Reflex-Beschichtung aus, die bei Gegen- oder Seitenlicht trotzdem für eine kontrastreiche Abbildung sorgt. Die maximale Blendenöffnung liegt bei 4.0 und reicht bis Blende 22. Ausgestattet mit einer 18 mm Brennweite und 10 Blendlamellen ist es 71 mm lang und wiegt 350 g. Die Optik verfügt über 10 lichtstarke Linsen in 8 Gruppen und einen ZM Bajonettverschluss, der es für Leica kompatibel macht. Es hat ein 58 mm Filtergewinde. Die Naheinstellgrenze liegt bei 0,5 m und der Abbildungsmaßstab beträgt 1:23. Das Distagon wird oft verwendet für Architektur-, Landschafts-und Porträtfotografie.
