The ups and the downs, the splits and the reunions, the sex and the drugs; they're all here, and the author has left no stone unturned in his quest to finally tell the true story of the band. It features exclusive interviews throughout with members past, colleagues and friends, managers and promoters, the ex-girlfriends, the groupies and the dealers. This astonishing work will eclipse everything previously available, particularly showing up the band's official biography Run To The Hills [Sanctuary, 1998] to be the sanitised, toned down and rather tedious cover up it really is. The band's first new album in 5 years, released Autumn 2006, will coincide with the publication of this book. The band's new world tour, currently in the planning stage is set to begin early 2007. October 2006 marks the 30th anniversary of the band's formation, certain to create enormous media coverage and renewing interest in Iron Maiden even further.
