Synopsis
Sequel to The Ides of April. Palestine in the first century A.D. is as disturbed and divided as it is today. The Jews have revolted against Roman occupation and as they grow more restive, Rome clamps down harder. The ten Greek cities of Palestine the Decapolis want only to continue their peaceful trading existence, but they find themselves caught in the middle of the uprisings. Apollodorus, a merchant of Philadelpia, takes a risk and rescues a man whom a Roman patrol has left to die in the desert. When Apollodorus is killed by robbers, his three sons are left almost penniless. Conan, Nicanor and Philo must each find a way for themselves. Philo, the youngest, is befriended by Xenos, the man saved from the desert, the man who has lost his memory. From him the boy learns the art of the scribe, and together they try to find their identity one from the past, the other for the future. A serious story of an important time in history. I am delighted to have this Bible! My father recently passed away unexpectedly. I found this Bible and messaged the seller to ask a few questions so I could determine if it was the same kind of Bible he owned. Seller was quick to answer and help. The Bible was packaged carefully and arrived quickly, even over a holiday weekend. This seller deserves 5 stars for sure!

The book arrived in a very good condition, just as seen in the pictures and stated by the seller. It was well packaged and arrived much earlier than planned. Coasbooks answered my questions quickly and fully- even taking another picture of the book for me. I can’t recommend them enough!

WOW! This transaction exceeded my all of my expectations. The seller shipped this book promptly and it arrived sooner than expected. The seller was very conservative in describing the book. The description rated the condition as acceptable. I would have rated it as good. The description stated the cover was scuffed. However, I have seen new paperbacks with more damage than is present on this book. My experience with this seller was EXCEPTIONAL.
