The refereed proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Computer Analysis of Images and Patterns are presented in this volume. The papers cover motion detection and tracking, medical imaging, biometrics, color, curves and surfaces beyond two dimensions, reading characters, words and lines, image segmentation, shape, image registration and matching, signal decomposition and invariants, and features and classification., It was an honor and a pleasure to organize the 12th international conference on Computer Analysis of Images and Patterns (CAIP 2007) in Vienna, Austria. Kropatsch, M. Kampel This year 251 full scienti'c papers were submitted of which 120 were - cepted based on the scienti'c reviews for presentation during the conference. Consequently the competition for acceptance in the ?nal program was tough. The accepted papers were presented during the conference either as oral pres- tations or as posters in the non-overlapping scienti'c program. Oral presen- tions allowed the authors to reach a large number of participants, while posters allowedfor more intense scienti'c interaction.We tried to continue the tradition of CAIP in providing a forum for scienti'c exchange at a high quality level. Three internationally recognized speakers accepted our invitation to present astimulatingresearchtopicthisyear:ZygmuntPizlo,PurdueUniversity;Arnold Smeulders, University of Amsterdam; and Steven W. Zucker, Yale University., This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Computer Analysis of Images and Patterns, CAIP 2007, held in Vienna, Austria, in August 2007. The 120 revised full papers presented together with 3 invited lectures were carefully reviewed and selected from 251 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on motion detection and tracking, medical imaging, biometrics, colour, curves and surfaces beyond two dimensions, reading characters, words, lines etc., image segmentation, shape, im age registration and matching, signal decomposition and invariants, as well as features and classification.

Not sure if the seller delayed shipping or if usps didn’t update the shipping, which is highly likely. Still received and we are happy with our purchase. I had trouble looking up tracking due to the company they used but seller found usps tracking and sent that over quickly. Sellers communication was excellent. Would buy from again. Item as described.

Communication poor, description, no communication price guide missing from this book. Shipping time was weeks before it was even shipped. Blamed the shipping on warehouse. You own & operate a business; your warehouse is not up to standards you change who you do business with. It's your responsibility.

Contacted seller for correct tracking, received a new tracking number with the warning that the number won’t be “live” until the item is shipped. Will you get your item? Yeah, probably. Count on it being delivered 2-3 weeks longer than expected.
