Synopsis
Second edition of the first volume of our series of practical manuals about the basics of the art of draping, a fashion technique that involves working with fabric and toile directly on the mannequin., Draping, also known as moulage, is a fashion design technique that involves working with fabric directly on a mannequin, 'sculpting' the toile on a dress form. Imagination and freedom are the key principles of this process, allowing the designer to start from an idea and change it as the garment progresses. Pieces take shape inch by inch on the dress form, going directly from sketch to fabric. Using the intricate process of draping, this extensively illustrated publication is an essential step-by-step guide for students, couture connoisseurs and fashion professionals who want to delve deeper into a technique used by prestigious fashion houses around the globe. It offers everything readers need to learn about the principles of draping and to gain a solid foundation for making their own imaginative pieces without limiting their creativity., Draping is a technique that involves working with fabric directly on a mannequin. This allows the designer to start out from an idea that can change as the design of the piece progresses. This publication is an essential guide for students and fashion professionals who want to delve deeper into this technique used by big industry names such as Issey Miyake, Margiela, Thierry Mugler, Iris van Herpen and many others. - i***y (711)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificato2 volumes of Pogo comic strips, new and in perfect condition. Price was good, but shipping cost ($30 for two books) seems like a lot for how long it took to get delivered (23 days from Illinois to Spain). Also, seller communication was not great. First two times I wrote, their response did not address question. Third response explained at length about the private courier service they use and how it should take 1-10 business days to deliver. Maybe they should consider a different courier service.
- o***l (313)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimo annoAcquisto verificatoThe item was described to a Tee. Very good communication. Shipping was just a little slow. The box the set of books comes in was damaged (bent corners) due to packaging. Not a deal breaker because the grand kids will not store in that box; might be if it were to be given as a present. The three books in the box arrived in prefect shape. I WOULD purchase from greatbookprices1 again in the future. ThanksConstruction Site Board Books Set, Hardcover by Rinker, Sherri Duskey; Lichte... - r***_ (108)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificato*Same as the other review* Purchased two box sets from this seller with one being advertised as "like new" but was delivered as if it was actually new. Shipping time was a little slow, takes about 10 days to ship out and it takes a while to get through the system. But the packing was great and I'm still overall happy with my purchase.
