At the time of purchase book was described as HC. It arrived as a paper back or "soft cover" issue. Certainly not with a rigid cover. Seller insisted that it be returned for recompense or replacement. For me, that's a major inconvenience so I declined to do so. For years, Thrift Books has been my first choice for book purchases. This is my second recent disappointing transaction with the seller. Although the first was fairly resolved by Ebay, I have not pursued a second.
