Donkey Kong Junior for the Atari VCS features three of the four screens found in the 1982 arcade original. Missing is the Jumpboard/moving platform screen. Unfortunately, the levels included are missing many elements, such as three of the six keys in the Vines level, the electrodes in the Hideout level and the fruit found in all levels of the coin-op classic. Intermissions are also absent, of course. Still, the game would be fun if it weren't for unresponsive controls, which can be deadly in later screens. At least Mario is recognizable, and the music is a respectable rendition of the original theme song. Donkey Kong and son, on the other hand, look ridiculous.
