They are 4" including the carbon part thay goes around the tips. The seller offered to take them back and pay return shipping. I decided to keep them and they gave a patial refund of $25. The seller was very responsive and great to deal with.

Unfortunately, the package had been opened and the low switch was missing and the UNIV-1 plate had already been installed even though it was advertised as "New." Customer Service was responsive and refunded a portion of the purchase. Would have rather had the low switch.
