Reviews
"The edited volume Radical Future Pasts is an intellectually challenging and stimulating book. It provides the reader with an overview of significant debates within US discourses in political theory from a mainstream left perspective. The volume is a splendid introduction to contemporary and long lasting issues in political theory, particularly in the United States. The editors have done a splendid job in compiling a wide range of highly stimulating contributions to a unique volume." -- SCTIW Review, "Radical Future Pasts engages a tremendous range of topics, bringing together the work of some of the best contemporary political theorists around. By examining issues of temporality, narrative, and circulation, this book highlights both the driving ideals and the quotidian realities of politics. It will be of great interest not only to American political philosophers but those from (and concerned with) the rest of the world." -- Kennan Ferguson, author of All in the Family: On Community and Incommensurability, The edited volume Radical Future Pasts is an intellectually challenging and stimulating book. Synopsis
Written by both well-established and rising scholars, Radical Future Pasts seeks to open up new possibilities for theoretical inquiries and engagements with practical political struggles., Written by both well-established and rising scholars, Radical Future Pasts seeks to open up new possibilities for theoretical inquiries and engagements with practical political struggles. Unlike conventional "state of the discipline" collections, this volume does not summarize the history of political theory. Rather than accept traditional ideas about the political past, the contributors reinterpret canonical and current texts to demonstrate fresh interpretations and narratives. Led by editors Romand Coles, Mark Reinhardt, and George Shulman, and inspired by the work of Peter Euben, the contributors both explore and exemplify the range and importance of political theory's different genres while concentrating on such themes as time and temporality, the politics of tragedy, and political movements and subjectivities. A groundbreaking volume featuring the best new scholarship in the field, this provocative book will be useful to scholars and students interested in political theory and its relationship to political practice., Written by both well-established and rising scholars, Radical Future Pasts seeks to open up new possibilities for theoretical inquiries and engagements with practical political struggles. 2 volumes of Pogo comic strips, new and in perfect condition. Price was good, but shipping cost ($30 for two books) seems like a lot for how long it took to get delivered (23 days from Illinois to Spain). Also, seller communication was not great. First two times I wrote, their response did not address question. Third response explained at length about the private courier service they use and how it should take 1-10 business days to deliver. Maybe they should consider a different courier service.

The item was described to a Tee. Very good communication. Shipping was just a little slow. The box the set of books comes in was damaged (bent corners) due to packaging. Not a deal breaker because the grand kids will not store in that box; might be if it were to be given as a present. The three books in the box arrived in prefect shape. I WOULD purchase from greatbookprices1 again in the future. Thanks

*Same as the other review* Purchased two box sets from this seller with one being advertised as "like new" but was delivered as if it was actually new. Shipping time was a little slow, takes about 10 days to ship out and it takes a while to get through the system. But the packing was great and I'm still overall happy with my purchase.
