It was packaged very well..not breakable at all but in bubble wrap, with newspaper and a sturdy box. It arrived as described. My mom used to have one that my dad gave her back in 1985, (he has since passed away) and it was lost somewhere along the way. She was overjoyed when I gave it to her today.
