Synopsis
Brian Callan, poet, lives on the edge of Cork city, with his wife Jan and her mother Maureen. He graduated from University College Dublin with a BSc and PhD in chemistry and is currently a vice president of Quality with GlaxoSmithKline. He has been a local preacher with the Methodist church for thirty years and apart from poetry, his other great passion is stamp collecting, where he exhibits on a regular basis across the world. "The Next Footprint" is the eleventh collection published by Brian since 1986 and is perhaps the most personal of his previous work, as it explores through poetry the ongoing internal dialogue with his Creator. The thought patterns continue to be born in and reflect the poet's Christian faith, his stumbling in prayer and his fascination with the created world we live in. Jane Connaughton, photographer, grew up in 1970's Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Ireland and now lives with her husband Eamonn, daughters and father in nearby Kinsale Co. Cork. Jane studied European Public Affairs and German, followed by Business & Tourism at University Limerick, subsequently working in the tourism sector, the oil and gas industry and in alternative energy. Throughout her life she has found a happy home worshipping with Methodist church communities. As well as gardening and flower arranging, Jane also enjoys the compositional aspect of photography and feels truly blessed in the beautiful stimulating surroundings of West Cork. For her, the continuously changing beauty of reflections on the ever present water are a daily reminder of a loving yet awesome God. All royalties from the sale of this book will be given to "Open Schools," a wonderful charity working with children living on the landfills of South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe., Brian Callan, poet, lives on the edge of Cork city, with his wife Jan and her mother Maureen. - _***d (6)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.
- l***c (29)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoItem in condition described. The shipment tracking was completely opaque and shipping was slow. The seller used a third-party shipping solution provider that gave a USPS tracking number, but, USPS had no real tracking info. I was not able to see any delivery estimate until the day before it arrived. When the delivery date estimate finally materialized, it was off by two days, saying arrival would be on e.g. the 5th when it actually arrived on the 3rd.
- b***3 (502)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoAs the title mentions awesomebooksusa, most books have been rarely awesome but the book prices have been almost generous, granted. Unbelievable services : 3 day international shipping, prompt dispatch, newly book condition, provided tracking, secure package, exactly received book, and safe deliveries. My gratitude to the seller’s thoughts of the needy buyers sending the wanted books to the new residence. Many thanks! Arabella
