Listen to your favorite radio stations when on the go with the Icom IC-2AT Radio Transceiver. This device delivers pure tuning capabilities combined with high and low power output. Enjoy extraordinary reception with an operational range of 144 to 147.995MHz. This handheld transceiver has a design that was created specifically to give you easy operational allowance. Take comfort in its sturdy handcrafted construction when taking this device on even your most rugged adventures. With a BP-3 NiCad battery, the IC-2AT transceiver is able to withstand longer periods between recharging that can extend more than seven days depending on its power use. A provided hand strap gives you the ability to carry the device easily. With all of its features, functions, and well thought out design, the Icom IC-2AT Radio Transceiver allows you a more personal audio experience. Switch between two transmitter output levels easily with the strategically placed buttons on the Icom IC-2AT radio transceiver. You have the option to select the 1.5W output, which is the high frequency that works well for long distances. The 0.15W low frequency transmission level is ideal for short distances. When using the 2-meter frequency or any optional repeater, you have access to 800 channels at any given time. By adding the IC-BP5 battery pack you also can achieve a 2.3W output. The top panel of the Icom IC-2AT radio transceiver houses everything you need to enjoy your experience with this device. Connect the included flexible antenna to the back left port. The removable design of this antenna allows you to store the transceiver away or carry it in any bag without risk of damaging it. You also have the ability to connect an external antenna with the use of a BNC connector. When the Icom IC-2AT radio transceiver is in the transmit mode the battery indicator is illuminated. This indicator also gives you important information as to the condition of the battery during transmission. Use the rotating squelch controller to turn this battery function on and off. Rotate the dial in both directions to set a desired squelch level. Increase and decrease the audio output level with the volume control knob, which doubles as a tone call switch. With its simple to understand layout, this transceiver is the perfect model for ham radio for amateur radio enthusiasts. There is a built-in microphone for the Icom Ic-2AT radio transceivers. This microphone allows you to speak through the device and to have your audio transmitted to other listeners with clarity. You may choose to attach an external microphone and speaker to the appropriate labeled port. There are a wide range of accessories available for the Icom IC-02AT radio transceivers.
