Product Information
LOOK AT THE BIRDIE is a collection of fourteen previously unpublished stories by the twentieth century master Look at the Birdie evokes a world in which squabbling couples, high school geniuses, misfit office workers, and small-town Lotharios struggle to adapt to changing technology, moral ambiguity, and unprecedented affluence. In Confido, a family learns the downside of confiding their deepest secrets into a magical invention. In Ed Luby's Key Club, a man finds himself in a Kafkaesque world of trouble after he runs afoul of the shady underworld boss who calls the shots in an upstate New York town. In Look at the Birdie, a quack psychiatrist turned murder counsellor concocts a novel new outlet for his paranoid patients. The stories are cautionary they also brim with his trademark humour. Wry, ironic, satirical and poignant Look at the Birdie reflects the anxieties of the postwar era in which they were written and provides an insight into the development of Vonnegut's early style

- i***e (151)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoA* service from this company was a bit sceptical from some of the reviews but this was the best experience I’ve had buying from a company on eBay. My order wasn’t dispatched on time so I messaged them and they replied quickly and helped asap and let me know what was happening my order and it came 2 days later, item is as described and in perfect condition will defiantly be buying from them again, thank you so much for my lovely purchase 🤩
- 3***l (55)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Ultimi 6 mesiAcquisto verificatoThe packaging for this item was the standard cardboard mail wrapper for a large book, so somewhat oversized, and it was left open; unsealed - see photos. However, it nevertheless arrived safely and in good condition, within the timeframe notified, and is a very satisfactory purchase. I have brought from this seller before and have found them to offer good value for money.
- b***5 (274)- Feedback lasciato dall'acquirente.Mese scorsoAcquisto verificatoExcellent book, well packaged and arrived in pristine condition. Lots of amazing, detailed recipes and pictures. Well worth the money. No dispatch details updated or communication email received so I wasn’t aware when it had been posted, however did arrive in a reasonable amount of time. Would certainly buy from this seller again.
