Based on a novel by the same name, "Coraline" is a unique cartoon in many ways. The cartoon is directed by Henry Selick, who is well known for "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "James and the Giant Peach." The same interesting and creepy animation can be seen in the "Coraline" movie. However, the cartoon shows even more unique characteristics. This is the first full-feature film that includes stop motion animation and filming in stereoscopic 3-D. This creates a unique and almost creepy feel to the film. "Coraline" is the story of a teenage girl who has moved with her parents to a big creepy house where she meets a number of fascinating characters. The 2-disc set includes such features as the making of the film and the voicing of the film. Additionally, the 2-disc set includes deleted scenes and a selection between 2-D and 3-D viewing. Coraline is rated PG and it may be too scary for some young children.
