The Crowther Audio Double Hotcake distortion guitar effect pedal is a boutique device made by Paul Crowther. Crowther is a drummer best known for his work with the New Zealand band Split Enz in the 70's. He has applied his wide range of musical knowledge to the development of the Double Hotcake. The result is a pedal that preserves the natural tonality of guitars and amps while supplying a fat distortion sound. A clean volume boost and rich growl are the hallmarks of this useful piece of gear. It functions to augment your playing ability and signature vibe.This distortion guitar pedal packs a lot of musical flavor in its two separate but equally effective packages. The unit gets its name from the separate A and B voicings it is built with. The A voicing is the Blueberry tone. The B voicing offers up the unit's normal range of fuzzy performance with lots of presence and mid-range punch. The Hotcake pedal has sturdy footswitches.
