I didn't know that, so I sent an email to the seller asking about Canon EOS cameras and 580 flashes. I was told the Canon EOS would work but I was NOT told I needed a receiver for the flash. After receiving the transmitter, I was given the link to purchase the receiver from them, but I found it cheaper elsewhere. Difficult to provide feedback as product is as advertised but the listing and email contact was lacking in making clear the product.
