Budget-minded card players looking for some poker action on the cheap can compete against up to five computer opponents in Texas Hold 'Em: High Stakes Poker. A total of five game types are available, including No Limit Texas Hold 'Em, Razz, 7-Card Stud, 5-Card Draw, and Omaha Express. The game features an overhead view of a poker room with static, 3D modeled opponents positioned around the table. A mouse-driven interface features clickable buttons to fold, check, bet, or go "all in" on the player's turn. Rules for each card game are available from the menu screen, and adjustable options include the number of players (two to six), bet limits, and total bankroll. Once players win or run out of money, the game ends and they can either choose a new game or quit -- there is no tournament or series play in this release.
