A Fine Romance by Judith Sills Ph.D. (1987)
I am a Director for a dating service. I talk to people often about their goals and desires for love and relationships. I have found this book soothing and methodical in it's attempt to guide the reader from attraction,to courtship and ultimately marriage. I have recomended it to other and given it as a gift many times.

I love fashion history!!
Vogue Covers, 1900-1970(1978) is a wonderful collection Vogue Magazine covers. I see fashion magazines and their illustrations as a combination of history and art. If you are a lover of Vogue magazine and/or fashion, this would a great item to own and share with others who have not yet discovered it!

Great book and a lesson in perseverance!
I have always thought the story of Helen Keller is a wonderful lesson for all of us in perseverance. The lesson taught by Helen's teacher Annie Sullivan and of course Helen herself. She is still in her teens when she is writing this book and I really enjoy reading about the early 1900s. As a young girl I loved the movie "The Miracle Worker" and I may have read books about her then but I decided I wanted to read something she wrote herself so I chose this book. Helen Keller had an amazing writing style. Her imagery and descriptions of smells and her senses are wonderful. It's fascinating to read about her memories of her life before she was able to fully communicate. She was still herself but she was so frustrated by not being able to communicate that she had tantrums and would act out as a wild animal! I discovered while reading this book that when Helen was a girl, after her breakthrough, she had written a fairytale and then found out that some of what she had written had been so similar to another earlier story that they thought she had plagiarized it. She had no idea that she might have been read the story when she was younger. It made her very frightened to write fantasy. I think she would have been an amazing fantasy writer! Not only did I decide to buy this book on eBay, I also decided to buy a hard back earlier printing of the same book! I intend on giving it as a gift!
