After long time looking for a good quality spotting scope (I need It for archery), I found the Nipon 25-125x92. Few reviews in internet, so I decided to write mine for benefit of many people looking for a good quality spotting scope without wasting money. The product is solid, light and obviously need a good tripod (I bought a Camlink TP2500 used in Amazon for 15€ and that's very good). The eyepiece is not removable but sturdy, rotation for zooming is very stable, focusing wheel is soft and accurate, eyepiece has a screw cap for protection, main lens closed by a plastic cap. The scope rotates around its collar over the tripod, so its easy to look at even when practicing archery Despite other's older reviews, I managed very easily in focusing even at the max zooming factor. I tried today in the archery range looking a 122cm target faces from different distances. At 30m in 25x zoom field of view (fov) covers slightly over the 6 (fov about 75cm diameter), at 125x only part of 8 is visibile (fov 30cm). At 70m 25x all the target face is inside view, at 125x target up to 5 is visible (fov 80cm). Slight chromatic aberration at max zoom, but fine for my use. see attached in order 122cm target face at 30m at 25x and 125x, then at 70m 25x and 125x. Lens flares are due to non perfect alignment of mobile phone camera with eyepiece, but in real life are not visible by eye Best buy in my opinion, maybe not suitable for rifle shooting at very high distances, butti for archery where max shooting is at 70-90m is fine, even the large lens collect a lot of light compared to smaller more expensive scopes. The product is solid and light focusing is clear and easy, utmost importance the use of a sturdy tripod like the one I use. I didnt know the Nipon product and company, but I am 1000% (Yes, thousand %!) Happy with their product and even fast shipment and fast replay ti messages... I won a bid on monday night at 23:00, made the payment, tuesday Morning the item was shipped with UPS and i can track real time the shipment, up to Friday morning when It was delivered.
