IPhone Xs 256

I bought an iphone Xs 256, after 50 days of use is out of service. The failure was caused from dropped water from one water bottle. Was not full immersed in to the sea! The iphone Xs is water resistant as per Apple specification................ My iPhone Xs maybe has lost this important characteristic.
