  There was a misunderstanding, but it was not the seller's fault. The seller's description clearly stated "Lego compatible", and therefore it should have been easy for me to understand that it was not an original Lego brick. However, the general description provided by Ebay mentioned Lego in so many lines that I was lead to believe it was indeed original Lego. Like I said, no grudge with the seller. The delivery was quick, the packing perfect and the items are in perfect condition.
