Combining age old traditions with advanced technology. In 1906 our grandfather Donato Ramella immigrated to the United States from Italy in search of the American dream. In 1937, along with two partners, Donato founded the U.J. Ramelson Company. UJ. Ramelson quickly established themselves as the leader in quality American handmade carving tools. The family tradition of excellence continues with third generation owners John and Dan Ramella. Blending age old traditions, with advanced technologies, our tools are hand forged, heat treated, and tempered by our expert craftsmen. Today, Ramelson is not only a manufacturer, but also a distributor of many fine tools and supplies.

    I ordered a burnisher and it came over with a damaged tip. I sent the company an email on Thursday and received a reply from the company president the next morning. He apologized and wrote he sent out a replacement to be picked up in the afternoon. Mistakes can happen but great customer service is harder to find. Trust this company, they are as good as their words.

    Not protected for shipping overseas very well, the Domed hand was broken on arrival, but It’s not something that I would lower my overall experience of this seller or their site, as I see it as an easy 2min fix. Good price & fast shipping. Seller’s Description I’m happy with just a shame the couriers miss hanging of package.
