I received an apology from a Yodel customer service representive, but no explanation as to why they managed to mislay the parcel for 6 days. Anyhow, it got sorted in the end.

Also said he would check the replacement to be functional, but as it was packaged and the sensor removed as an afterthought, through a tiny hole, I doubt this was feasible. However, the item proved satisfactory.
