Simmons Distributing Company is a family owned business started in Bessemer, AL in 1945 by Mr. Ralph W. Simmons. The business originally began as a pawn shop and transitioned into a fishing and hunting store. Today, the company is owned and managed by his son, Peter Simmons. In January of 2024, the company transitioned to selling fishing exclusively online. We have a dedicated sales and shipping team that is focused on providing prompt shipping and great service for all online orders.

We carry a broad range of reels, rods, combos, hard baits, soft plastic baits, terminal tackle, line, etc. We buy direct from many of the large fishing tackle manufacturers in the United States like Rather Outdoors, Pure Fishing, Daiwa, Rapala, Gamakatsu, Spro, and Pradco. We buy fishing products throughout the year so our item listings change regularly as we receive new items.

    Seller went above and beyond anything they needed to do to get the product that I ordered shipping time was horrible, but was not the seller’s fault that was due to the United States Postal Service seller even re-shipped another package on his own dime and the original package showed up in the meantime about 12 days late had good communication. I would highly recommend I would purchase again from this seller

    if you want to buy from the best source on E-bay, none can compare to Simmons Sporting Goods. The hottest new lures, reels , and all of the possible tackle available to you. The best packing , fastest shipping and the willingness to quickly correct a mistake , I have been dealing with this company for over 20 years total errors ? (2) Their business ethics should be copied by all . The obvious high value of their items , speaks for its self . Simply the best , screw the rest .

Have purchased from Simmons since before E-bay, years ago had a sales person that would “ fax “ us sheets of close-out and bargain items, all these years they have been a great company to purchase from!     In a time when many eBay transactions are ripe with seller apathy and buyer frustration, this seller shines over the rest by providing a very well wrapped package (even the Maryland USPS couldn't damage it) that arrived timely and exactly as described - even the selling price was outstanding.     Great company to buy from. I've received fishing reels from them in the past also. Well packaged, new, unopened, as described in a box with those foam peanut things. Received reels 2 days after auction. Last 2 times I won an auction the total price with tax and shipping was less than half of any online or store price that I could find
