Chi siamo

My name is Geoffrey Miller, and I am the author of three non-fiction books on British diplomatic and naval policy in the period 1900 to 1915 -- Superior Force, Straits and The Millstone -- and a novel (The Traitor) based on events described in Superior Force. In 20 years spent researching these subjects, I acquired a large specialist library with many duplicates, which I initially began to sell to finance the research for the planned fourth volume of the “Straits” series. With the rampant consolidation in the publishing industry during the past decade, it proved impossible to interest a publisher in the fourth volume, so writing was reluctantly abandoned in favour of book-selling. Although the emphasis is on the first quarter of the 20th Century, particularly the origins and conduct of the First World War, other interests include Travel & Exploration and Thrillers (including Classic Detective Fiction).
