He did not try to hide the rusty spots, but rather showed close-up pictures of them. The seller also used good lighting to take the pictures so you could really see the item. The item was well packaged and came very quickly. The rust will come off but it was deep in some places and will leave some pits. I would recommend this seller based on this experience.
