New enouugh that it probably had never been used. I will have to get out my whet stone and sharpen up the blades before use but also means it has years of potential use left in it. It arrived in a timely fashion with just enough packaging to keep it from harm. All in all I was happy with the knife and the service and shipping. I would buy from this seller again.
