  Not cast iron, not food safe, zero communication from seller. The "wok" has been painted with some unknown grey substance that comes off by just rubbing your fingers on it. Asked seller about it, seller didn't reply. Asked for return, no response. eBay facilitated return, sent back, seller didn't refund or reply. Had to ask eBay again to step in. Give this item and this seller a wide berth. Hope this negative stays up for others to see.

  The item wasn’t high enough to use it for the intended purpose so I decided to return it to the seller . The seller sent it to me at a cost of £1.55 “with tracking “. For me to return the item it would cost £1.55 but if I wanted to send it tracked it would cost me nearly £5 i decided to risk it & sent the item back without the tracking & I have found out the item didn’t get to the seller . I have sent many items without tracking & they have arrived safely on this occasion it was “lost” BEWARE !
