ICHNOS was born in the early 2010s out of a passion for sports, design and a desire to make high-quality gear accessible to everyday athletes. Based in a rural village in Lincolnshire, Major Sports Brands weren’t interested in collaborating with small businesses like us at the time, so we decided to take matters into our own hands and create products ourselves.
Every product we create starts with a simple question: "What’s essential for the athlete?" Whether it’s a football, a pair of gloves or running gear, we focus on the basics that make a difference. We carefully choose materials, design with purpose, and ensure our products are durable and comfortable, helping athletes perform at their best.
The name ICHNOS is inspired by the Greek word for footprint, while it’s pronounced "EEK-NOHS" (don’t worry if you’re unsure!), we think of it as the footprints athletes leave behind on the field, each step towards improvement and passion.
